On March 1 from 6-7:30pm in the gallery at FUNKe FIRED ARTS, medicine Didem Mert offers Turkish Dreams: A Silent Auction, featuring her own current ceramic and 2-D art work as well as pieces donated by local artists. Proceeds will help fund her studies in Turkey in preparation for her senior thesis show.

Didem Mert, a clay instructor at FUNKe FIRED ARTS, is currently working on her BFA in Ceramics at Northern Kentucky University. She plans to spend time in Turkey studying Turkish artwork and culture which heavily influence her own art, as a first generation American born member of a Turkish family.
