Empty Bowls is an international movement to involve the pottery community in helping the hungry. The proceeds from the Cincinnati Clay Alliance Empty Bowls events, raised over $350,000 in the last 23 years, benefiting Kids Cafe of the Freestore Foodbank. There are 9 Kids Cafe locations in greater Cincinnati where children receive a nourishing meal, help with homework and personal hygiene, and can participate in fun activities.
Meal tickets ($30) include a handmade bowl, soup, bread, and a dessert. The Clay Alliance members donate the hand made bowls each year so look out for some of your favorite local clay artists’ work. Additionally, handmade bowls and other ceramic pieces donated by Clay Alliance members can be purchased at the event.
Arnold’s Bar and Grill will be providing servers and donating the delicious soup and bread.
The JK Jazz trio headed up by James Kellaris, will provide their talent as they have for the past several events in rounding out the festivities!
