Cheerful Surfaces Workshop was a BIG Hit! Many New Ideas to Try!

Ceramic artist, Jason Bige Burnett’s Clay Alliance’s Spring Workshop was GREAT! It was well attended and the participants left with many ideas to weave into their own pottery!

Jason, did a wonderful job explaining the processes of his pottery. His pottery is mostly hand built that are meticulously constructed and decorated with slip transfers and all kinds of surface embellishments that stretched all our imaginations.

Jason has recently taken a two year position at the Archie Bray Foundation, in Helena Montana, where he will be teaching and creating new style for himself without using any of his current surface elements to students studying at “The Bray”. We, at The Clay Alliance wish him all the best in his new endeavor and move from Louisville, KY to Helena, MT.

A HUGE Thank You goes to Donna King, who works very hard at spearheading our recent workshops. A big thank you also goes to NKU College of Ceramics and Sculpture for allowing us the use of their facilities and to their director, Jeeun Lee, Ben Huber and Nick Bonner for their assistance during the workshop, we certainly could not offer workshops at this price if we had to pay for the venue! Lastly, thanks to the attendees for coming out for this wonderful event! We all learned a lot.

Once pictures are available they will be posted.
