Throw-a-thon Sept 1

Hello Clay Alliance Family!

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other. We are less than a month away from our bowl Throw-A-Thon to replenish our supplies. Ryan Durbin has been working hard to make sure we have everything we need along with the cooperation of the fine staff at Baker Hunt it looks like we will have successful efforts! We have the goal of making 300 bowls to replenish our depleted supply. We know that things are very up in the air about events this year. We need to replenish our supplies whether we have an actual Empty Bowl event as we have had it in the past. Maybe we will have to change to a Drive-Thru Bowl pick up with truly EMPTY BOWLS!

All Throw-a-thon events will take place at Baker Hunt, 620 Greenup Street, Covington, KY 41011

We want you to know that all the events will be properly socially distanced, six feet apart. Each area will have access to a wheel, table and shelving. MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL EVENTS. Feel free to bring your own tools if you like.

Tuesday September 1^st – 5pm-9pm: Throw and Handbuild Bowls

Wednesday September 2^nd – 9am-12pm: Trim Bowls

Thursday September 10^th – 5pm-9pm: Glaze Party

Friday September 11^th – 9am-12pm: Glaze Party/Load Kilns

Tuesday September 15^th – 9am-12pm: Wrap up and Store bowls

 

Of course please continue to make bowls and save seconds for the event on your own. I will put out a sign up for that later.

We appreciate all of our members, some of you have suffered a lot through this pandemic. If you need to reach out to us, please do. It’s been a tough time. Maybe this little bit of gathering can help us and others.
