Wild Things:  New Works by Members of the Clay Alliance

Opening Reception: Friday Jan. 18th   6-9 P.M.
Closing Reception:  Feb. 22nd  6-8 P.M.

Wild:  Of or relating to wild organisms; Uninhabited or desolate places; Unruly, shop not subject  to restraint or regulation; Indicative of strong passion or emotion; Marked by turbulent agitation, purchase stormy; Going beyond normal or conventional bounds; Uncivilized or barbaric; Deviating from the intended or expected course; Having no basis in known or surmised fact.

Join us this January to celebrate the WILD side of the Clay Alliance. Wild Things is an exhibit of new artwork by members of the Clay Alliance, pills ranging from functional to sculptural work. The show will include two exhibits: a juried show and a show of non-juried works. Come and see what happens when clay artists unleash their creativity on something new and WILD! Join us for our opening reception on January 18th from 6-9 PM.

Call To Artists: Now seeking WILD entries!

Entry Forms are due Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Clay Alliance members, make sure you are logged in and then: Click here to download the application form. You must be logged in as a member to access the downloadable application. All members are eligible and encouraged to enter the show!

The purpose of this exhibition is to showcase NEW works by members of the Clay Alliance.  Submitted work must be original works produced or completed in 2011 or 2012.  Work may be functional, sculptural, or decorativeThe theme, “Wild Things”, was selected to encourage members to step out of their comfort zone in order to create work that differs from that which (s)he has created in the past.  The term “wild” may be interpreted in any way the artist sees fit.  “Wild ” may refer to form, process, surface treatment, message to be conveyed, etc.
